My Political Journey began following my education at the Sri Jayewardenapura University. I joined the Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) in 2008 and have not looked back ever since. I played an integral role in the Party since joining and in 2015 I was made the JHU Matale District Organizer.

I was also the Speaker for every General and Presidential election since 2015 and worked tirelessly. 2018 was a notable year for me in my Political tenure as I was made the Cordinating Secretary of the Megapolis & Urban Development Ministry. During this time, I was also a Central Committee Representative for the JHU. All of these lead to me contesting for the Municipal Council Election in 2018!

I played an integral role as I was also made the Coordinating Secretary in the Matale District as we completed projects such as the Gongahawela Bus Stop, Rural Infrastructure Development and the Sukilapura Development under the Megapolis and Urban Development Ministry.

We were also able to get funding for all four (4) electoral sector in the Matale District. This was key to the development of the rural areas in the district.

Alongwith Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka M.P, I stepped down from all my posts at the JHU in a topsy-turvy 2020!

Since 2008 and the start of my Political Career, I have been involved in many Charity programs, notably, the distribution of Spectacles, Books, Educational Material and Sports Equipment for my faithful followers from the Matale District.

I have also worked alongside International Charity organizations, Company Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, and even gone to the extent of personally funding these sorts of Charity activities to continue to develop rural areas in the Matale District.

Another notable Charity Activity was the Housing Project we completed, building X no of houses in (Year).
